Why Most Artists Fail ?

Before even considering the music industry every artist needs to ask themselves one simple question. Am I in this for the money or the music? If the answer is money, then you better quit now!

If the answer is music then here are 5 tips on how to NOT fail as an artist.

1. CUT THE FAT

Get rid of all the people in your life who are not rooting for you. All those high school friends, drinking buddies etc. If they are not pushing you to win, get rid of them.

2. STAY IN THE ZONE

The only distraction in your life should be more music. When you are working on your music, throw that phone in the garbage, and turn off Wi-Fi if you can. If you are working on an important project let your parents know that you are well but will be missing from planet earth for the next couple of days.

3. GET YOUR MONEY

If you are a musician without a job there is no way in hell you will survive. So get a job! Find one with flexible hours and just cut your expenses to a minimum. It’s not that hard!

4. GROW YOUR SKILL SET

Before becoming rich and famous unfortunately it’s up to you to do all the video editing, posting etc. But this is great because now you get to expand your skill set beyond music.

5. STAY AWAY FROM RELATIONSHIPS

This one might be a bit rough, but if you are serious about your career, broke and with no time, the last thing on your mind should be buying a girl flowers. We have seen too many careers get ruined early on simply because of relationship pressure.

The key to success is less stress. As silly as it seems, it’s the truth. Create a pleasant world for yourself, even if it’s small.
